Ten years of deep cultivation
Contributing to the sustainable development of Nanjing's eldercare market.
In 2013, the "First Year of Elderly Care Industry Development," the State Council of China issued the "Several Opinions on Accelerating the Development of the Elderly Care Service Industry," marking the official start of an accelerated expansion of the elderly care market in China. In rapidly developing cities, elderly care is not only a major social issue but also a major industry. As the aging population increases, the market demands higher standards for elderly care services in Nanjing, while also providing vast opportunities for the growth of the elderly care industry

Against the backdrop of high demand and vast potential in the social and policy environment, in 2013, Mr. Gao Tianli, who was then the CEO of the Asia Pacific region for the French elderly care brand Obot, introduced foreign care models to Nanjing. He spearheaded the establishment of the Nanjing Obot Xianlin International Elderly Care Center, which effectively contributed to the development of the elderly care market in Nanjing. Later, he also served as the Deputy CEO of Pacific Obot, where he was involved in the planning, design, and operational preparation of several TaiBao Elderly Care Centers across the country.
Starting in 2021, Mr. Gao Tianli officially assumed the role of Managing Director of the elderly care business under Singaporean multinational company Keppel. With over a decade of experience in the elderly care industry, he has led Keppel to explore development opportunities in China's elderly care services sector in greater depth.

Mr. Gao Tianli experienced the essence of Jinling culture on-site.
Mr. Gao Tianli, by reflecting on the experiences and shortcomings of previous projects, conducting research to understand the latest elderly care needs in China, and integrating recent global innovations in the elderly care sector, established the "Sindora" (欣岳年) brand with the support of Keppel’s comprehensive strength as a Singapore-listed company. The goal was to create more advanced and innovative elderly care services. The first "empowerment-based" elderly care institution under the Sindora brand was again launched in Nanjing, bringing a new model of elderly care that goes beyond the traditional approaches. This initiative supports elderly residents in Nanjing, allowing them to live according to their own desires and enjoy a fulfilling and beautiful later life.

Mr. Gao Tianli expressed his great honor in receiving the title of "Zijin Friendly Ambassador for Nanjing’s Internationalization." He believes that this recognition is not only an affirmation of his deep commitment to the elderly care sector in Nanjing but also a sign of support for the empowerment-based elderly care model developed by the Keppel Group and Sindora. He is confident that this achievement represents the fruitful results of collaboration and innovation between the people of Nanjing and teams from various countries. He emphasized that the newly designed "Empowerment-Based Elderly Care" concept, which better meets the current needs of elderly care in China, will be promoted to other cities across China and globally.
Mr. Gao Tianli emphasized that Sindora’s entry into the Chinese elderly care market, with Nanjing as the first stop, marks an important milestone.
As one of the most developed cities in the Yangtze River Delta, Nanjing has a relatively high degree of aging. With the continuous economic development, there is an increasing focus on the social lives and mental well-being of the elderly, as well as a growing demand for enhancing physical and mental health through comprehensive care. Sindora has excellent operational capabilities and experience in the elderly care sector. We have incorporated the successful experiences of our parent company, Keppel Group from Singapore, in quality control systems, green architecture, and smart operations into our facilities. We aim to create a Singapore Garden City-like living environment for seniors. Sindora’s multidisciplinary team empowers seniors across nine key dimensions, creating an immersive living paradise that allows seniors of various ages and physical conditions to find their own joy in life and enjoy a high-quality, green living experience at our facilities.
At the end of 2022, Sindora set its sights on Yanziji New Town in Nanjing, establishing China’s first flagship "Empowering Elderly Care" institution – Sindora Nanjing Qixia International Elderly Care Garden. The facility is ideally located near the Mu-Yan riverside area, offering beautiful views and is surrounded by top-tier hospitals, parks, schools, and commercial entertainment centers. The institution aims to create an "intergenerational integration" experience, allowing Nanjing’s elderly to feel at home even when they are away from their own homes, enabling them to enjoy their later years in happiness and without worry. The facility is expected to officially open by the end of this year, and the experience area has already been opened for public visits.

The improvement of Nanjing's internationalization level cannot be achieved without the outstanding contributions of talents from various industries. They have become important bridges and links for strengthening friendship and cooperation between Nanjing and other countries and regions. With the arrival of Sindora Living Nanjing Qixia International Care Home, not only does it represent the official introduction of Singapore's leading elderly care operations experience into China by Keppel, empowering Nanjing's elderly to "embrace a fulfilling life," but it will also further deepen the friendly cooperation between Nanjing and Singapore.
